Job Description:The Advent Health Heritage Nurse Internship a 10 or 11-week paid summer program for nursing students looking to gain clinical work experience and hone in on the areas they are most passionate about. During our program, interns can gain meaningful insight into different areas of nursing through three 12-hour shifts per week. The position aligns with a nurse tech job description and duties, while allowing flexibility for a variety of learning experiences such as shadow shifts, simulations, and skills training.

- - Enrolled in nursing school
- - A mission-driven individual who is passionate about nursing
- - Minimum of 3.2 Cumulative GPA
- - Priority will be given to candidates graduating before June 2027
- - Open to relocation post-graduation

- Must demonstrate ability and understanding of the age-specific care requirements of geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric patient populations, including appropriate selection of patient equipment, communication, and safety needs.
- Requires close attention and mental effort in executing multiple assigned duties, such as recording blood pressures, input & output (I & O), obtaining and documenting blood glucose monitor results, and distributing and collecting dietary trays.
- Ability to float between assignments and adapt to varying healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance with all safety and infection control policies to prevent injury to patients, employees, or self.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to document information accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and focused in stressful and/or emotionally charged situations.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to be highly detail-oriented.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a patient‑centric approach.
