We are hiring a Part‑Time Veterinarian to work on predictable hours with a consistent home hospital assignment. The role allows clinical engagement while maintaining work–life balance and flexibility in schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups.
- Communicate and educate clients regarding patient care.
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Handle pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and adhering to controlled substance protocols.
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations.
- Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
- Attend daily rounds when possible to ensure high standards of care.
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution.
- Current State Veterinary License.
- DEA registration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice.
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills.
- Team‑oriented work style and exceptional interpersonal communication.
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care.
- Effective communication with both staff and clients.
- Ability to manage stress and reassurance with patients in pain.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical tasks.
- Advanced clinical examination and diagnostic skills.
- Problem‑solving and operational management abilities.
- Active participation in continuous learning and professional development.
- Business acumen related to practice finance and management.
- Strong ethical judgment in patient care decisions.
