What you ll doResponsibilities include operating cash registers and related hardware, processing member purchases, and applying appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold. You will maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. You ll maintain the Pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by handling claims and returns, using equipment to perform merchandising functions (e.g., pricing merchandise, creating signs, verifying on-hand inventory, arranging merchandise), identifying shrink and damages, ensuring a safe work environment, and completing required paperwork and logs.
You may monitor and resolve issues in the prescription fulfillment process, process third-party insurance claims, alert patients to stock issues, and identify situations requiring pharmacist action. You ll promote and maintain the Pharmacy s professional reputation by assisting the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process, processing third-party claims/rejections, assisting patients with prescription orders and purchases, and completing required documentation. You ll provide patient/member service by acknowledging the member, identifying needs, initiating the prescription fulfillment process, creating prescription orders, resolving issues, assisting with purchases, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.
You ll enter prescription data into pharmacy software, transcribe and create/modify patient records, and ensure prescription accuracy. You ll fill prescriptions by handling medication preparation and labeling, and operating scanning or dispensing systems as needed. You ll assist during prescription pickup, verify patient information, collect signatures, and log sales of restricted items as applicable. You ll complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, identifying priorities and deadlines, documenting progress, and adapting to feedback.

Wage information

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.50 - $22.50. The actual rate will meet or exceed minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances.

Minimum QualificationsMeets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician (age, qualification, registration, certification, licensure as required). Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB PTCE or NHA ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
