Quality Control / Manager, Quality Engineering, Quality Technician/ Inspector
The Supervisor Quality Control monitors, schedules and delegates inspections on Jet Blue Airways ’aircrafts, engines and components as required by routine and non-routine work cards andrequiredinspection items. The Supervisor alsomonitorsschedules and delegates with the receiving inspectors and the Heavy Maintenance Quality Reps.
Delegates,assist sand follows up on all assigned inspections
Supervisesborescopesof all Jet Blue engines on and off the wing
Supervises Aircraft part and tool receiving inspection process
Supports schedule and supervises Heavy Maintenance Quality Control Reps at 3 rd party maintenance,repairand overhaul (MRO) providers throughout the country and overseas
Performs on the job training to develop the Quality Control Department
Develops andmonitorsthe Quality team schedule formanpowerand overtime requirements
Schedules inspections andmanpowerto cover out of station Quality control work and out of serviceaircraftrecovery
Monitors Quality Control and Maintenance for correct compliance of work scope
Other duties as assigned
MinimumExperience and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
Three(3) yearsofinspection experience on commercial aircraft
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 1 Certification in the following disciplines is preferred:
Eddy Current, Fluorescent Penetrant and Ultrasonic Inspection
Three (3) years of commercialaircraftmaintenance or quality management experience
Able to understandaircraftstructural repair manual (SRM) for damage mapping
Possess andmaintaina valid Driver License and a record that meets Jet Blue Airways’ insurance standards
Able to travel to out stations or non- maintenance cities when called to do so
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Must passapre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
PreferredExperience and Qualifications:
Associate’sdegree in the field of Aviation and Management
Certified Level 1 or Level 2 in Non-Destructive testing (NDT) in Eddy Current, Fluorescent Penetrant and Ultrasonic Inspection
Five (5) years inspection experience on commercial aircraft;
Airbus experience preferred
Five (5) years of Lead or Supervisor experience in commercial aviation
Proficient in detailedaircraftdamage mapping and SRM usage
Regular attendance and punctuality
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond onshort-notice
Abletomaintaina professional appearance
When working or traveling on Jet Blue flights, and if time permits, all capable crew members are asked toassistwith light cleaning of the aircraft
Must bean appropriate organizational fit for the Jet Blue culture, that is,exhibit the Jet Blue values of safety, Caring, Integrity,Passion and Fun
Promote Jet Blue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting Jet Blue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policyand behavioral standards
Identifysafetyand/or security concerns, issues,incidentsor hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Jet Blue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) andcompany policies,procedure sand risk controls
Uphold Jet Blue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift, ladders and tractor
Reflective safety vest, eye and ear protection
Outdoors onaircraftramp side and /or the hangar
Travel to support MRO’s and outstationmonitoringas assigned
Ability to work rotating shifts and/or days off as required
Physical Effort:Position requires strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting,pushingorpulling ofobjects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently. (Heavy)
