Description
You will be the Mechanical and Tool Inspector for the Missiles and Fire Control team. Our team is responsible for producing some of the world's most advanced weapon and sensor technology through ultra-precision machining, additive manufacturing, and the development of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Mechanical and Tool Inspector, you will perform in-process, courtesy, quality witness, and final inspections on machined parts, electro‑mechanical, mechanical, composite, integrated systems, and various coatings including chemical conversion coating, military grade primer/paint, powder coat, and anodize.
- Perform in-process/courtesy/quality witness/final inspections on machined parts, electro‑mechanical, mechanical, composite, integrated systems, and various coatings.
- Inspect mechanical assemblies utilizing Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs) for structural flaws and check critical dimensions to extremely close tolerances.
- Ascertain functionality in accordance with prescribed company and customer requirements and specifications, potentially presenting results to the customer for certification and acceptance prior to shipment.
- Utilize a variety of precision inspection instruments and gauges to perform inspections per drawing criteria, including critical dimensions to extremely tight tolerances.

Basic Qualifications- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Prior mechanical quality inspection experience.
- Experience with CMM or CNC machining.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Engineering/blueprint drawing reading and interpretation.
- Experience utilizing precision measurement tools.
- SAP experience.
- Tool inspection, calibration, and metrology experience.
- Ability to perform manual measurements.
- Experience with aerospace hardware.
- Familiarity with military specifications.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
