Quality Assurance Technician

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role performs inspections, product testing, documentation, and process monitoring to ensure compliance with company quality standards, GMP, and food safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine quality inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with GMP, food safety regulations, and company quality standards
  • Conduct product sampling, testing, and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Verify product specifications, weights, labels, packaging, and coding accuracy
  • Identify quality issues, non-conformances, and communicate findings to Production and Quality Management
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Assist with internal audits, quality investigations, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and food safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician in a food manufacturing or food processing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and quality assurance principles
  • Experience performing product inspections, sampling, testing, and documentation
  • Ability to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
