Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs. You will be the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior for the Machining Operations Center. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality machined components and assemblies that meet stringent aerospace standards.

• As the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality excellence across our machining operations.
• Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and review quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured and procured parts.
• Lead Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Perform audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO‑9001 / AS9100 and engineering specifications.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality‑related issues.
• Implement new inspection processes and automation methods to improve efficiency.

• STEM Degree at a Bachelor level or above or equivalent experience/combined education
• Ability to interpret drawings an specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspect of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies)
• In-depth understanding of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5-2009) and application
• Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications

• Experience with automated processes and robotic technologies
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
