Standard Job Description Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.

Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs. You will be the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior for the Machining Operations Center. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality machined components and assemblies that meet stringent aerospace standards.

What You Will Be Doing
  • As the Machine Shop Quality Engineer Senior you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality excellence across our machining operations.
  • Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and review quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured and procured parts.
  • Lead Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO‑9001 / AS9100 and engineering specifications.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality‑related issues.
  • Implement new inspection processes and automation methods to improve efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
  • STEM Degree at a Bachelor level or above or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Ability to interpret drawings an specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspect of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies)
  • In-depth understanding of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5-2009) and application
  • Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications
