Barback - Sports & Social Orlando

Overview

Barback position with responsibilities including basic bar prep, keg handling, and ensuring a clean and efficient service area. Requires energy, professionalism, and good communication with guests and team members.

• Perform basic bar prep work: refilling ice bins, restocking beer/liquor, and cutting garnishes.
• Change empty kegs in the keg room, including moving full kegs of beer.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy environment by cleaning spills and emptying trash cans.
• Organize bar and drink ware; keep the bar area clear and ready for service.
• Clear and clean the bar in a timely manner; perform multiple tasks efficiently.
• Provide polite, professional, and courteous customer service.
• Communicate effectively, clearly, patiently, and, where appropriate, with humor with co-workers and guests.
• Complete all side work as assigned.

• Food service experience with general knowledge of bar/nightclub operations.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years or older, depending on state regulations.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state regulations.
• Reading and writing abilities for orders and paperwork; basic mathematical skills are used frequently.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 200 pounds (kegs, ice, glasses, trays, etc.).
• Move about the facility efficiently and safely; handle food, objects, products, and utensils effectively and safely.
• Bend, stand, stoop, kneel; withstand potential climate temperature changes in the work area.
