Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Grill Cook to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, ensuring timely service, and upholding the standards of excellence expected at Orlando Health.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Ability to read, recognize, and differentiate between words and series of numbers. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Licensure/Certification :
None required.
Experience:
No prior experience required.
Essential Functions:
Prepare food items by following recipes and/or product directions for grilling, theme areas, or pizza. Adhere to production plans as assigned by the shift supervisor. Utilize basic food preparation techniques, including receiving, storing, preparing, cooking to order, and holding food items. Apply knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures. Follow HACCP guidelines and practices. Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, Food & Nutrition Supervisor, Group Leaders, and peers.
Assist in other areas of Food & Nutrition as needed. Comply with hospital standards, policies, and procedures. Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and legal standards. Top Reasons to Work at Orlando Health:
