As a Porter
, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of hard surface floors, walls, windows, doors, drains, counters, and food service equipment. Your work will ensure that our kitchen, coolers, storerooms, dining areas, and cafeteria remain in top condition for both patients and staff.
- Ability to read and recognize similarities/differences between words and numbers
- Ability to write simple correspondence and respond to customer inquiries
- None required
- No prior experience necessary—training provided!
- ✅ Assist with non-patient food services as needed
- ✅ Ensure all trash receptacles are emptied and cleaned
- ✅ Move furniture, equipment, and other items as required
- ✅ Stock food, paper, and beverage supplies, following proper shelf rotation
- ✅ Communicate departmental needs to Group Leaders, Supervisors, or the Support Services Manager
- ✅ Perform additional duties as directed
