Retail and Merchandising Coordinator

Description — Glenmoor Country Club is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and creative Retail and Merchandising Coordinator to work directly alongside the Merchandising Manager during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This role will be instrumental in supporting all aspects of retail operations, inventory management, merchandising strategy, and member communication. This position offers hands-on involvement in buying, visual merchandising, promotions, and retail strategy, with long-term growth potential.

• Assist with receiving all merchandise (hard goods & soft goods)
• Help reconcile packing slips and invoices before submission to accounting
• Maintain accurate inventory records and sales in Club Essential
• Assist with and help lead monthly physical inventory counts
• Organize and maintain back stock storage areas
• Help troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and shrink issues

• Assist in executing visual merchandising plans throughout the golf shop
• Maintain floor cleanliness, organization, and displays
• Assist with seasonal shop resets and new product launches
• Help execute merchandising for special events, tournaments, and promotions

• Assist Merchandising Manager with buying decisions for all retail categories
• Research trends, brands, and member preferences
• Participate in vendor meetings and line reviews
• Attend buying shows including:
  • Denver Merchandise Shows
  • PGA Merchandise Show (Orlando, Florida - January 2027)
• Track sell-through and assist with reorders and assortment planning

• Draft and send weekly retail communications to members
• Assist with promotional planning, sales events, and clearance strategies
• Help analyze sales performance and promotional results
• Collaborate on creative ideas to increase retail engagement and revenue

• Answer phones and assist with basic member inquiries
• Provide coverage in the golf shop as needed
• Make and manage tee times using Fore Tees; check members and guests in for play
• Assist with POS transactions and member service during peak times
• Help train part-time staff on procedures, POS, and merchandising standards

• Play a key role in planning and executing the setup of the new golf shop
• Assist with inventory flow, floor planning, and merchandising during opening
• Support the transition from temporary shop to permanent retail space

• 2+ years of retail, merchandising, or golf shop experience preferred
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Creative mindset with attention to detail
• Comfortable with inventory systems, POS, and basic reporting
• Experience with Club Essential and Golf Genius preferred but not required
• Passion for golf, tennis, retail, or private club environment
