Reports to:

Production Supervisor

The purpose of this position is to keep the work area clean and organized to support a smooth workflow for the production team.

Traits and Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
• Eye-hand coordination to sort, grasp, color coordinate, and tag
• Ability to read and write

Physical Skill Requirements:

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Pushing and pulling 100-200 lbs of force
• Standing 80% of the time
• Repetitive use of hands 80% of the time
• Reaching overhead 20% of the time
• Pushing and pulling 50% of the time
• Bending and crouching 70% of the time
• Grasping items with hands 90% of the time

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to dust on an ongoing basis
• Exposure to temperature fluctuations periodically
• Exposure to weather
• Flexible with scheduling changes due to store needs and sales events
• May require overtime occasionally due to store needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: Provides customers with fast, friendly, and courteous service. Responds to customer questions and/or takes initiative to find answers. Greets and assists customers on the sales floor with eye contact and a smile. Respectful of property during loading or unloading.
• Assessing Workflow & Inventory: Empty trash as needed, remove empty carts, replace with full carts, move discards to baling area. (80%)
• Processing: Keep back lot clean of debris, process furniture to designated areas. (20%)
• Work Area: Maintain cleanliness and organization for safety and efficiency. Keep area free of debris and large items; clean before leaving. Continually
• Safety: Follow safety guidelines to provide a hazard-free environment, clean spills promptly, report hazards or injuries. Ongoing
• Communication: Inform Production Supervisor when dumpsters need emptying, be aware of obstacles that may slow down the team. As needed
• Meeting Targets: Support production in meeting processing targets, review results, and discuss improvements. Continually
