As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you’ll continuously move and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You will ensure a quick, easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter‑free. Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness and help customers find great deals.

We have roles available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments. During the interview process, discuss which role interests you most.

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor runway‑ready, sizing and filling through re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across platforms (in‑store, online, mobile), operating the point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes, handling bulky and sometimes heavy items—including boxes—while ensuring a seamless, friendly experience.
• Create a smooth fitting‑room experience as a fitting‑room attendant by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Keep the sales floor clean and clutter‑free by sorting and returning clothing.
• Keep the stockrooms organized, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset‑protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.

• Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders following packing and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store—such as setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
  • Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Stock and Fulfillment only: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range: $16.40 – $17.10 hourly
