As a Floor Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting the Store Management Team across all areas of the business. This includes driving sales, opening/closing the store, analyzing sales results, and leading training sessions. Together with your fellow leaders, you will work to ensure that every aspect of the store operates at full capacity, creating an exceptional customer experience and an energized, motivated staff.
On the shop floor, you will lead and inspire a team of sales associates to meet and exceed their goals. By fostering a culture of passion and positivity, you will create a productive and enjoyable work environment for both customers and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Driving Sales: Use the Store Force dashboard results to coach and provide feedback to the sales team, and adjust shop‑floor structure to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Customer
Experience:
Model world‑class customer service, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate with your team to exceed daily sales targets. - Building the Brand: Educate customers on Lush brand values—including our stand on Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging—and engage the community through store events.
- Product Passion: Continuously deepen product knowledge and recommend appropriate products to customers.
Team Involvement:
- Development: Train and coach Sales Ambassadors and peers on sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance and increase sales.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Encourage open communication, listen to team perspectives on DEIB, foster a sense of belonging, and recognize unique contributions.
Operational Excellence:
- Cash Handling and Store Opening/Closing: Manage cash handling, including customer transactions, register opening/closing, reconciling drawers, preparing nightly deposits, and securing the store. Take deposits to the bank when required.
- Time and Attendance: Model punctuality, monitor employee breaks, and keep the team informed about daily communications and task lists.
- Visuals and Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the customer experience.
- Stock and Inventory: Train the team on inventory best practices, support management with inventory tasks, and adjust product displays based on sales.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company standards for opening/closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and sales
- Experience with cash handling and opening/closing procedures
- Supervisory experience involving coaching, feedback, and training
- Problem‑solving in customer service operations in a fast‑paced team environment
- Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business practices
- Flexible schedule to accommodate evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Experience with consultation‑based customer service models
- Experience analyzing sales metrics
- Experience in skincare or cosmetics
- Experience in cross‑cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French or other languages
