COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- USD $90,000 – $110,000 base salary, plus an annual performance bonus tied to territory growth

Our client was founded in approximately 1986 and has roughly 40 years in business — an established, mature company that is privately and family‑owned. The company employs approximately 130 people and is headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Canada, with Florida operations — warehouse, office, and showroom — run from Orlando, Florida. They are a wholesaler of souvenirs and giftware, distributing postcards, magnets, keychains, mugs, snow globes, plush, and novelty items to major retail chains and independent retailers across Canada and the United States.
Notable accounts include Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Hudson, and Paradies.
- Florida office:
Orlando, Florida (warehouse, office, and showroom) - Work arrangement: field‑based — in the field with the reps daily, roughly one day per week (a few hours) at the Orlando office; administrative work otherwise done from home
- Sales territory:
State of Florida — established clusters in Orlando (hub), Tampa, and Miami, with a growth focus on the currently uncovered Jacksonville market - Hours:
full‑time - Overnight travel: approximately 10–20%
- Approximately 8–10 years of combined management and supervisory experience, with proven regional or territory sales leadership — ideally leading a field team of roughly 5–10 reps
- Approximately 5+ years in a consumer‑products environment
- Industry background in retail or wholesale consumer products; strongest fit is souvenirs, giftware, gifts, collectibles, novelty, or apparel — transferable backgrounds include housewares, home décor, kitchenware, home textiles, lifestyle and accessories, toys, games, plush, specialty food and confectionery, stationery, and seasonal/holiday products
- Key‑account / chain experience is essential — demonstrated success selling to and growing major retail chains such as Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Hudson, and Paradies
- Direct‑store‑delivery (DSD) experience is a strong asset
- Ability to grow an independent retail base in addition to managing major chains
- A hands‑on field operator — willing and physically able to merchandise, reset, and work stores in the field, and to step into a rep’s role when needed.
- University degree in business and/or equivalent general‑management experience preferred — not a mandatory requirement
- Valid U.S. driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle are required — the role involves heavy daily driving
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) — Intermediate
- Souvenirs and giftware, including postcards, magnets, keychains, mugs, snow globes, plush, and novelty items
- Major national retail chains — including Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Hudson, and Paradies
- Independent souvenir, gift, and convenience retailers in tourist areas — a base the company wants to grow
- Customers are located in tourist‑area retail across Florida
- Primary decision‑makers: store managers at the chain level, and owners and buyers at independent retailers
- The business runs on a direct‑to‑store delivery (DSD) and in‑store merchandising model, with ongoing repeat and replenishment activity at the store level
- Shelf space is earned store by store — the product is not planogrammed into a fixed in‑line position
- The role blends ongoing major‑chain account management with new account and new‑territory development
- Product that turns faster than the generic merchandise occupying the same shelf space
- A direct‑to‑store delivery (DSD) and in‑store merchandising model that wins and holds retail space store by store
