Job Overview

American Greetings is a global leader in the Celebrations marketplace.

As a Merchandiser you will work independently across various retail locations, showcasing organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush and more.

• The starting pay is $14.00 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (rates are subject to change based on location).
• After 6 months the pay rate will increase to $14.80.
• After 1 year of continued employment the pay rate will increase to $15.50.

This route will service the following retail locations: 1101 S Goldwyn, Orlando, FL 32805; 5734 S Orange Blossom Trl; 1321 40

Th St; 928 S Ivy Ln; and 1001 S Orange Blossom Trl.

The weekly average hours are 5 hours per week, with a potential increase to 10 hours per week around holidays.

Ideal candidate would be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings due to store needs and service.

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising, organizing product orders, and displaying products.
• Maintain organized backroom areas and support inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management about questions or concerns regarding service or schedules.
• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
• Build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime hours.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets which may include fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company‑issued tablet.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided.

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation and internet; most routes have multiple retail locations.
• Technological competency – ability to learn and use company‑provided tablet for training and daily activities.
• Schedule flexibility – occasional weekends, day before and after major holidays as needed (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

The role requires working on the sales floor and back stock room. Tasks include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 40 pounds. You must stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. A step stool may be used for some tasks.
