Primary Responsibilities (Salesperson)- Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets.
- Perform DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installations.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Handle inventory processes: truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock management.
- Ensure store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
- Support general stocking, truck stocking, and back‑stock.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Ability to use the delivery board system.
- Friendly communication and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge.
- Operating POS and parts‑lookup systems.
- Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
Job Skills
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.
- Work flexible days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
- Safely deliver parts to commercial customers.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
- Daily collection of credit accounts.
- Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
- General stocking, truck stocking, and back‑stock.
Job Skills (Driver)
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
- Work flexible days, evenings, and weekends.
- Automotive parts experience is preferred.
- Certificates, licenses, registrations.
- Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification.
Predominantly walking or standing; ability to talk, hear, use hands and fingers; reach, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentUsually working inside; occasionally outside and exposed to weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, vibration. Noise level moderate.
