The OpportunityWe’re hiring a Commercial HVAC Sales Engineer who thrives on prospecting, opening doors, and creating opportunities from scratch. This is not an account maintenance role and not a territory babysitting seat. This role is designed for a true new‑business producer
. Success here comes from outbound effort, field presence, and consistent pipeline generation.
If you enjoy being on job sites, calling on contractors, engineers, owners, and facility leaders, and turning cold opportunities into closed deals, this role offers strong income upside and real autonomy. This is a growth role built for someone who wants to hunt, win, and scale
.
- Drive new business acquisition across commercial HVAC service, retrofit, replacement, and construction projects
- Prospect aggressively through outbound calls, site visits, referrals, and relationship development
- Identify and pursue opportunities with building owners, property managers, contractors, engineers, and end users
- Conduct onsite walkthroughs, surveys, and system assessments to uncover project needs
- Build scopes of work, proposals, and estimates in partnership with engineering and estimating teams
- Own opportunities from first conversation through contract close
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and timelines to secure profitable work
- Maintain disciplined pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting
- Stay current on HVAC systems, controls, energy efficiency strategies, and code requirements
- 5+ years of success in commercial HVAC sales, estimating, or technical sales
- Proven ability to self‑generate leads and close new business
- Comfortable working in the field and navigating job sites independently
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Experience with AutoCAD or estimating tools is a plus
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Self‑motivated and accountable, with a “no one is watching” work ethic
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to be on the road regularly
- Degree preferred but not required; production and consistency matter more
- Open to candidates from adjacent industries (mechanical, fire protection, industrial systems)
- Uncapped commissions with top earners exceeding $150K–$200K+
- Massive runway for new business development
- Autonomy to build territory and manage your own schedule
- Leadership support without micromanagement
- Exposure to mission‑critical commercial facilities
- A role that rewards activity, initiative, and results
- 401(k) with company match
- Comprehensive health coverage
- Dental, vision, and life insurance
- Monthly Car Allowance
- Employee Assistance Program
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Merit‑based increases
- Long‑term stability with strong growth trajectory
