The Solar Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Orlando, FL, responsible for leading and growing the local solar sales team. This position involves generating and qualifying leads, conducting in-person consultations, and presenting tailored solar solutions to residential and commercial prospects. The Solar Sales Manager will oversee the entire sales cycle, including proposals, contract negotiation, and coordination with installation and operations teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and mentoring sales representatives, tracking performance metrics, and implementing sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets. The role also involves staying current on solar technology, financing options, and local regulations to provide accurate, compliant guidance to customers.
- Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or related home services.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, and managing a full sales cycle from initial contact to close.
- Ability to build, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team with a focus on ethical, customer-centered selling.
- Comfort with in-person customer consultations, presentations, and contract discussions, including explaining technical and financial details clearly.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales tracking, and reporting to manage pipelines and forecast performance.
- Knowledge of solar energy concepts, system components, and common financing models (e.g., loans, leases, PPAs) is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities across diverse customer and team member groups.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Orlando, FL, travel locally for customer visits, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
