Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional comfortable generating leads with new clients and maintaining relationships with existing ones. They will understand prospective client needs and offer ideal solutions in HVAC, Controls, and MEP fields. Customers include commercial, government, and institutional sectors.
You will be walking into a $3MM book of business to take over and expand with new logos on.

About the Client

The client is an established commercial mechanical contractor generating $6MM in revenue, backed by a parent firm of over $80MM headquartered in Northern Virginia. We provide preventive maintenance contracts, service, new HVAC equipment, plumbing installation, and retrofit to federal agencies and commercial clients.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $90,000.00 - $

  • Heavy monthly commissions
  • Monthly car allowance

Key Responsibilities
  • Sells services to existing and potential commercial customers to obtain preventive maintenance agreements, service repairs, and replacement sales that are competitive and profitable.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify needs and problems, then provide solutions.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques, including networking and cold calling, to develop new accounts for preventive maintenance agreements, service, retrofit, and replacement business.
  • Provide a capital replacement budget to all existing clients.
  • Convert leads into opportunities and track leads through the sales process.
  • Provide detailed proposals to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Keep up to date on current trade equipment and technology offerings.
  • Meet sales revenue and sales margin goals.
  • Demonstrate team attitude, ambition, drive, and commitment to advance best practices in the industry.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of sales experience in commercial HVAC (commercial HVAC knowledge preferred).
  • Ability to use spreadsheets to create estimates.
  • Ability to write detailed proposals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of building and expanding customer base.
  • Business development and marketing skills.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug test and background screening.
