Dal‑Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Sales Representative to join our team. As the Sales Representative, you will conduct weekly sales calls, prepare reports, and perform market analysis for top accounts in the region.
Primary ObjectiveIncrease market share and sales for the Dal‑Tile SBU in the designated region. Expand the account base by servicing existing customers and cold calling new ones.
Responsibilities- Conduct weekly sales calls, including servicing existing customers and performing 4–5 cold calls per week.
- Prepare weekly sales and call reports.
- Develop monthly sales strategy and calendar.
- Analyze market activity for top dealers, contractors, and builders.
- Research product data to identify local buying trends and inform strategy.
- Grow market share while maintaining approved product margin goals.
- Complete Positive Action Forms for all cold calls resulting in a display, rack or sale.
- Use influence and negotiation skills to place displays in customer showrooms.
- Follow up with clients via phone, letter or email.
- Maintain client files and track programs and projects.
- Provide PK seminars to customers.
- Use On Demand reporting to meet sales objectives.
Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications- High school diploma; some college preferred.
- 4 years of sales experience; prior customer service experience is a plus.
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes/email. - Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment.
- Self‑motivated, capable of working with little or no supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Independent judgment, time‑management and organizational skills.
Stand, use hands and reach, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb or balance as needed. Requires close, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Must frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
