Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished National Sales Manager to lead group sales efforts for a portfolio of three convention hotels. This is a high visibility, strategically influential role designed for a tenured hospitality sales professional who excels at building national relationships, driving revenue across multiple properties, and representing a diverse portfolio with confidence and credibility.

You will be a key contributor to the commercial success of the hotels—partnering closely with senior leadership, shaping sales strategy, and owning relationships with high value national accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a proactive sales strategy that drives group business across all hotels.
  • Represent the portfolio at industry events, trade shows, and client engagements to expand market presence.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with national and regional meeting planners, associations, and corporate partners.
Client Engagement & Experience
  • Conduct tailored, high impact site inspections that showcase the hotels’ capabilities and align with each client’s event vision.
  • Design and host memorable familiarization (FAM) experiences that highlight the strengths and versatility of the portfolio.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, ensuring a seamless and professional client experience.
Contracting & Revenue Optimization
  • Lead negotiations for guestrooms, food and beverage, and ancillary services to maximize revenue and long term account value.
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from qualification and proposal development to contracting and turnover.
  • Maintain accurate booking details, guestroom blocks, client profiles, and documentation throughout each phase.
  • Monitor group pickup, history, and payment status to ensure accurate forecasting and revenue integrity.
Lead Management & Proposal Development
  • Oversee the bid process through CVENT and other lead generation platforms.
  • Prepare customized proposals that reflect each group’s needs and highlight the strengths of the hotel portfolio.
  • Research and qualify new business opportunities using available tools, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop sales coordinators to ensure strong administrative support and efficient workflow.
  • Partner with operations, catering, and group housing teams to ensure successful event execution and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to portfolio wide sales initiatives and participate in leadership discussions that shape long term growth.
  • Uphold the company's drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free policies within the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hotel group sales experience, preferably with multi property or convention hotel exposure.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue goals and managing complex, high value accounts.
  • Strong relationship building skills with national and regional meeting planners.
  • Technology proficiency in property management systems and digital tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing client needs and market conditions.
  • Ability to travel 10%–20% for client meetings, industry events, and portfolio representation.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Hospitality Management, related field preferred or equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Benefits
  • Affordable Health and Dental Insurance
  • On-site Medical Center
  • Competitive Compensation Holiday Pay
  • Birthday Pay
  • Paid Vacation and Personal Days
  • Tuition Reimbursement and Higher Education Scholarships
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
