Strategic Sales Account Manager | Southeast USA

About this team

The Independent Account Manager is the face of our brand. They grow our wholesale business by sourcing and maintaining the right small and large independently owned businesses that acquire a new guest for lululemon, provide a competitive barrier, and retain current guests while generating revenue ranging from $6M-$10M Wholesale per year ($12M-$20M Retail). These 200-400 independently owned accounts per Account Manager include boutique fitness studios, gyms, run specialty shops, hotels/resorts, and golf/country clubs.

The Account Managers are partnering with the most influential companies that can grow the lululemon brand and drive revenue to our own vertical channels.

A day in the life: what you’ll do
  • Identify new strategic partners and develop brand building relationships in new and existing markets, while managing the existing portfolio of partnerships focusing on quality growth.
  • Travel a min of 6-8 days in market working closely with partners to grow their business and elevate our product presentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with partners in community to understand the unique needs of each of the markets in the area you are managing.
  • Manage 200-400 Accounts that generate a total of $6M-$10M Wholesale per year ($12M-$20M Retail).
  • Support the Key City strategy within North America by providing insights and recommendations and work closely with the Key City team on a frequent basis.
  • Works in collaboration with Senior Retail Directors and Regional Managers on area vision and strategy per market.
  • Lead market planning conversations with cross-functional partners in community and retail operations to support store pipeline in new markets.
  • Provide training on product, visual merch, buying and sell through strategies to elevate your partnerships and our brand.
  • Confidently track sales to report on business trends and responsible for a quarterly and yearly sales plans.
  • Passion and knowledge of lululemon product. Responsible for partnering closely with the product team to ensure the right assortment is being bought to service the needs of our partners.
  • Manage our brand integrity including pricing policy, web logo usage, A/R accounts as applicable and other terms laid out in the lululemon retailer agreement.
  • Strategically plan and manage a budget of $10, per quarter/$40,000-$80,000 annually.
  • Responsible for creating a culture that celebrates diversity, is committed to equity, and empowers us to hold each other accountable for always practicing inclusive behaviors.
Qualifications
  • Willing and able to travel within the US and Canada (min of 6-8 days in market per month with air and overnight travel required)
  • 3+ years experience in a relationship management, sales or customer service role
  • Experience with in the world of wholesale and/or account management, highly preferred
  • This is a field-based position: you are an independent leader and self-sufficient; ability to prioritize and be agile is a must
  • You have strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Excel, and Smartsheet
  • Highly organized and able to manage calendars and travel schedules
