A growing and well-established commercial construction firm is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Director of Business Development to support continued expansion throughout the Central Florida market.
This is more than a traditional sales role. We are looking for someone who understands how lasting business relationships are built — through trust, consistency, market knowledge, and long-term partnership development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s client base, strengthening industry relationships, and identifying new commercial construction opportunities.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute business development strategies to support company growth across Central Florida
- Identify, pursue, and help secure new commercial construction opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, brokers, and industry partners
- Represent the company at networking events, industry organizations, conferences, and client meetings
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations, estimating, and preconstruction teams
- Track market trends, upcoming projects, and industry activity to identify strategic opportunities
- Support proposal development, presentations, and client pursuit strategies
- Maintain long-term client relationships through consistent communication and follow-through
- Help strengthen the company’s reputation and visibility throughout the Orlando and broader Central Florida market
- 7+ years of business development, client relations, or construction industry experience preferred
- Strong network and established relationships within the commercial construction industry in Central Florida
- Experience working with commercial, private, public, and/or development-sector clients
- Proven ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and market dynamics
- Self-motivated professional with strong organizational and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to represent the company professionally and confidently at a high level
