Event Sales Representative – About the Role
We’re seeking an Event Sales Representative responsible for interacting directly with homeowners at community events, festivals, and home shows across the area. The goal is to generate leads and appointments for the sales team while representing the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
This entry‑level, part‑time position offers paid training and an opportunity to build valuable sales, negotiation, strategic planning and closing skills.
Typical Event Day Overview- Travel to event locations such as home shows, community festivals, craft shows, and other local events.
- Set up branded booths or displays and lift materials up to 50 pounds.
- Engage attendees, introduce brand, and capture customer information.
- Qualify leads for follow‑up by the sales team.
- Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor and represent the brand positively.
- Events last several hours; most occur on weekends or evenings.
- Communicate enthusiastically to generate complimentary in‑home appointments.
- Create on‑site event buzz and promote brand knowledge.
- Use qualifying sheets and scripts to address customer questions.
- Adjust marketing and sales tactics based on KPI targets.
- Perform daily set‑up, maintenance, operation, and presentation of event marketing programs.
- Stand for long periods during events.
- Arrive on time and stay through the event and breakdown.
- Work a part‑time schedule including weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 6 hours).
- 1+ years of sales or lead generation experience.
- Strong presentation skills with varied audiences.
- Fluency in a second language (asset).
- Stand for extended periods up to 8 hours during events, work evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to event locations.
- Availability to work 10–30 hours per week and at least two weekends per month (Friday through Sunday).
- Paid training.
