About the Role
The HVAC Service Sales Rep is critical to the overall growth and profitability of the HVAC Service business. The chosen candidate will initiate, establish, and build profitable service relationships between new customers and Johnson Controls International (JCI). This role focuses on selling renewable maintenance agreements within an assigned geographic territory.
Key Responsibilities- Use a disciplined sales process to identify, target, and qualify prospective new customers.
- Engage in sales calls to uncover customer pain points and position Johnson Controls as the supplier of choice.
- Propose solutions that emphasize digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization while selling renewable maintenance agreements.
- Finalize proposals and secure customer commitments.
- Conduct customer kick‑off meetings, resolve issues, and maintain service agreements.
- Support collection activities and keep management informed of progress using and other tools.
- Develop and implement territory marketing plans in line with the Building Solutions business strategy.
- Attend and present at trade shows and participate in professional organizations.
- Represent Johnson Controls with integrity, quality, and professionalism.
- Previous progressive sales experience.
- Exposure to sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to captivate in individual and group settings.
- Post‑secondary education.
- Experience using
- Aptitude for technical knowledge with high attention to detail.
- Experience selling services and intangibles.
- Knowledge of building HVAC systems.
- High level of attention to detail in sales and documentation.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $55,000–$92,000. The exact salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. A competitive sales incentive plan is available based on volume, margin, quarterly, and annual performance. The position also includes a comprehensive benefits package.
