IMPORTANT NOTE:

This job posting is for our Outside Sales team supporting the Roofing product line.

The Outside Sales Representative represents the company to contractor and trade customers. The focus of this position is to develop and grow relationships with roofing contractors and builders in order to maintain and increase product sales.

Reports to:

Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of roofing products and their applications

+ Ability to travel and make sales calls at contractor offices and jobsites

+ Ability to comprehend, read, and communicate in English both orally and in writing

+ Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards

+ Math skills including calculating percentages, decimals, and discount multipliers

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Prior roofing distribution, wholesale, supply house, or install experience

+ Established relationships with local roofing contractors

+ Working knowledge of roofing materials and takeoff/estimating

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary based on customer location and may include contractor offices, jobsites, warehouse, or outdoor environments. Essential functions require travel to contractor and jobsite locations.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Develop and grow relationships with contractor accounts to maintain and increase sales

+ Identify and pursue new contractor accounts within assigned territory

+ Quote pricing, prepare material takeoffs, and process orders for contractor customers

+ Coordinate with inside sales/counter and warehouse for order fulfillment and delivery

+ Follow up with contractors on open quotes, orders, and job status

+ Meet or exceed individual and territory sales targets
