Neuroscientist

The Neuroscientist is a senior-level and highly experienced postdoctoral research scientist responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing advanced neuroscience studies. This role drives scientific innovation, contributes to strategic research direction, and translates findings into meaningful clinical outcomes, particularly for Nemours' pediatric patient population. Will strengthen research and translational work in all neurological disorders including epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, neuroimmunology, spasticity and cerebral palsy, neuro-oncology, neuromuscular disorders, fetal neurology, and I collaboration in complex neurosurgery.

The Neuroscientist provides technical leadership, mentors junior team members, and collaborates cross-functionally to advance the organization's neuroscience initiatives. This role will seek funding opportunities to apply for external grants, collaborate with investigators within the division to write research proposals and protocol design. It is expected for this role to implement and establish the Neurology research program that will be supported from various funding sources.

The neuroscientist will execute essential tasks and work collaboratively with partners to gain institutional reputation and benchmarking with the U.S. News and World Report.

Essential Functions:

Requirements:

PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology or related field.

More than 5 years of relevant research experience including postdoctoral work. Expertise in neuroscience and neurobiology, neurophysiology, or related disciplines is preferred.

Demonstrated track record of scientific publications and research impact.

Previous experience in neuroscience research preferred.
