Armed Security Officer

Job Summary

Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to become part of our exceptional team. The selected individual will be a part‑time or full‑time guard to protect our client's premises, assets, and personnel. The role requires a high visibility presence and prevents all illegal or inappropriate actions while maintaining access control to the property. The officer will conduct rounds, scan points throughout the property, and ensure the safety of the community.

This position is located in the Orlando area, including a position in the Sanford area (32771).

• Saturday and Sunday (Area Code: 32805) – 9:00 pm to 5:00 am
• Tuesday and Wednesday (Area Code: 32810) – 9:00 pm to 5:00 am
• Saturday and Sunday (Area Code: 32771) – 9:00 pm to 5:00 am
• Friday and Saturday (Area Code: 32805) – 9:00 pm to 5:00 am
• Saturday and Sunday (Area Code: 32822) – 9:00 pm to 5:00 am

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators.
• Report and detain any suspicious incidents.
• Report writing.

• Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position.
• Valid D and G security license (both active).
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
• Must have your own weapon.
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
• Surveillance skills and detain orientation.
• Integrity and professionalism.
• Detailed report writing.

Base Rate: 19.01 hourly
