Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to become part of our exceptional team. The selected individual will work either part‑time or full‑time to protect our client’s premises, assets, and personnel. The officer will maintain a high‑visibility presence, prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions, manage access control, conduct rounds, and patrol the community to ensure safety.
This position is located in the Orlando Area and includes a location in Sanford (ZIP 32771).
Shift Schedules- Saturday and Sunday (Area Code: 32805) 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
- Tuesday and Wednesday (Area Code: 32810) 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
- Saturday and Sunday (Area Code: 32771) 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
- Friday and Saturday (Area Code: 32805) 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
- Saturday and Sunday (Area Code: 32822) 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
- Protect company property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Report and detain any suspicious incidents
- Maintain detailed report writing
- Proven work experience as a security officer or similar position
- Valid D and G security licenses, both active
- Ability to operate detection systems and emergency equipment
- Must have your own weapon
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Strong surveillance and detain orientation skills
- Integrity and professionalism
- Detailed report writing
19.01 hourly
