SummaryThe Security Lead will provide outstanding guest service by protecting hotel guests, employees, and property while maintaining a safe and secure environment based on Rosen Standards. They are responsible for enforcing Rosen policies and procedures while ensuring the observation of applicable laws by surveying the property for potential dangers and distractions. They will work alongside the Manager On Duty or Supervisor to coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the department.
Responsibilities- Assist the DOS, MOD, and Supervisor in enforcing safety and security procedures.
- Organize and communicate information passed down from the DOS and MOD to the security staff when Supervisor is not present.
- Provide on the job training and other needed training to Security Officers. Conduct field training officer duties; evaluate and test a probationary Security Officer's performance.
- Assist MOD in investigations or emergency health matters.
- Monitor all shift activity reports and activity logs. Provide shift assignments, breaks, and follow up on staff performance.
- Continuously patrol the hotel property to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and assets. Identify any suspicious person that may interrupt the orderly operation of the hotel while limiting liability.
- Provide outstanding guest service to all visitors and employees of the hotel when performing dispatch calls; responsibilities may include key assists, safe resets, etc.
- Provide First Aid, CPR, and Blood Born Pathogen services to guests and employees if needed.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of specialized equipment needed to perform tasks as a First Aid response team member.
- Maintain certification in CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
- Responsible for information passed down, key and radio control/distribution to officers. Perform inspections of smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.
- Comply with the company's drug‑free and tobacco/nicotine‑free policy.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of related security experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of related leadership experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license in good standing required.
