Armed Security Officer Orlando Area Part time

Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to become part of our exceptional team. The selected individual will look for a part‑time role to protect our client's premises, assets, and personnel. The candidate will maintain a high visibility presence, preventing all illegal or inappropriate actions and maintaining access control into the property. The selected individual will be doing rounds, scanning at different points throughout the property in the housing contract.

The Armed Officer needs to be prompt with patrolling the community, ensuring everything is safe.

• Orlando Area Saturday and Sunday 9pm to 5am
• Orlando Area Sunday and Monday 9pm to 5am
• Orlando Area Friday and Saturday 9pm to 5am

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators
• Report and detain any suspicious incidents
• Report writing

• Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
• Valid D and G security license (needs to be active with both security licenses)
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Must have your own weapon
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detain orientation
• Integrity and professionalism
• Detailed report writing

Base Rate: 19.01 hourly
