Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $16.25 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Sat: 07:30 PM - 07:30 AM
- Sun: 07:30 PM - 07:30 AM
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, public areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor traffic, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
- Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining professionalism and readiness while performing assigned duties.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
