Position: Security Lieutenant
Orlando Health is seeking an experienced Security Lieutenant to lead Security Officers on assigned shifts and help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, team members, and guests.
As a first-line leader, the Security Lieutenant serves as an operational escalation point responsible for shift supervision, incident response, training support, accountability, and ensuring consistency in daily security operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Security Officers and coordinate daily shift operations
- Respond to and manage significant incidents and emergency situations
- Conduct shift briefings and support officer training and development
- Assist with emergency preparedness drills and incident command activities
- Monitor compliance with departmental procedures and hospital policies
- Support coaching, corrective action, and leadership initiatives
- Serve as backup department timekeeper
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum four (4) years of security, law enforcement, military security, corrections, or related public safety experience
- Supervisory Or Leadership Experience Preferred
- Healthcare security experience preferred
- Must obtain and maintain Florida Class “D” Security Officer License
- Must obtain and maintain CPI Certification
- Must obtain and maintain IAHSS Basic Certification or higher
- Must obtain IAHSS Supervisor Certification within 12 months of promotion or appointment
