About the RoleOTD is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Appliance Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all appliance installations meet our white-glove standards, manufacturer guidelines, safety regulations, and builder/client expectations. This position plays a key part in maintaining the quality, consistency, and professionalism of our installation services across Florida.
Key Responsibilities Quality Control & InspectionPerform on-site inspections of completed appliance installations.
Verify installations meet manufacturer specifications, code requirements, and OTD standards.
Check for proper leveling, secure electrical/water/gas connections, venting, LP conversions, and overall functionality.
Ensure jobsite cleanliness, PPE use, and safety compliance.
Document all findings, including deficiencies, with photos.
Documentation & ReportingComplete daily QC reports with checklists, photos, and recommendations.
Record failed inspections and follow corrective action procedures.
Provide feedback to Operations on recurring issues or training needs.
Track installer performance and submit weekly quality updates.
Training & SupportProvide real-time coaching to installation teams when issues are identified.
Support onboarding and hands‑on training for new installers.
Demonstrate correct techniques for complex installs and specialty applications.
Customer & Builder RelationsCommunicate professionally with builders, supers, and clients during QC walkthroughs.
Resolve concerns on-site when possible or elevate when needed.
Ensure all builder‑specific standards are followed.
Operational DutiesVerify BOL signatures, photos, and closeout documentation.
Confirm proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
Participate in audits, internal evaluations, and safety reviews.
Qualifications2–3 years of appliance installation experience (white‑glove preferred).
Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, gas, and LP conversions.
Ability to quickly identify installation issues and workmanship defects.
Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
Comfortable working in jobsite environments, multi‑unit buildings, and construction projects.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50–75 lbs with proper equipment or team assistance.
Ability to walk multi‑floor buildings and large jobsite areas.
Ability to bend, kneel, and reach during inspections.
