Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Orlando, Florida.

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer tools where applicable.
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Replaces defective components as instructed and works unsupervised on most tasks.
• Performs facility maintenance duties and interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint.
• Utilizes Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Works in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT).
• Acts as a mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels and helps colleagues access internal/external maintenance documents.
• Other support duties as required to support operations, including potential Service Island support.
• Achieves SBTIII training within 180 days (SBT
  220) and completes OEM On-Line diagnostic tool courses as required by location fleet mix (completed within 365 days).

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/Technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred; basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work), and basic diagnostics and repairs (AC and electrical systems).
• Three (3) years or more of relevant work experience preferred.
• All required certifications as per location; valid CDL CLASS A preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
• Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
• This position requires driving Ryder vehicles and may require obtaining CDL within 6 months after hire, passing Ryder drug test, a DOT physical, a Ryder road test, and a background/motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification for the last 3 years).

• Hourly Pay: $28.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained (up to $700)
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 per quarter
• Sign-On Bonuses: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday; weekends off
• Hours:
  
  Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
