Scope of Work
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general maintenance and orderliness of the property and oversight of the maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction in accordance with department protocol.
Schedule: Third Shift 11:00pm - 7:30am. Days off to be determined.
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on experience), paid time off, medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order related software programs
- Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements
- Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol
- Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
- Implement, with Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs
- Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings
- Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
- Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times with clients, co-workers, and vendors
- Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Ability to learn new skills and be independent as well as work well within a team atmosphere
- 2 - 4 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
- General knowledge of trades - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lock smith, painting, and HVAC
- Ability to build, implement, and track a comprehensive preventive maintenance program
- Attention to detail: maintenance issues must be documented and reported. Time tracking is also important, so work can be appropriately assigned and billed
- Working knowledge of lite plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lock smith, painting, HVAC
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification or school training in maintenance-related courses preferred but not required
- Forklift, Aerial Lift, Fall Protection & OSHA 10 preferred but not required
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
