Position:
Heavy Equipment Operator
Reports to:
Foreman, Superintendent Status: FT
This position is located in Orlando at the MCO Airport expansion project.
You MUST be certified to operate a TELEHANDLER no exceptions.
You MUST have an active operator card.
GoalWork on each job delivering the highest quality service that is safe and most effective within the determined time limits.
This position requires you to Operate and assist with the labor crews while NOT OPERATING a machine. (No EXCEPTIONS)
You will be building and installing platforms using a automatic people mover (APM).
You MUST be able to pass a drug test and have the ability to become banged in.

- Communicate with Supervisor on a regular basis about project status and issues.

- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude and demeanor.
- Report to work on time and prepared to perform duties of position.
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
- Detect and fix operating problems.
- Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
- Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
- Ensure that all machinery and tools are available to the crew, and everything is in proper order.
- Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance of construction equipment and tools to ensure everything is in working condition.
- Ensure company equipment, materials, and work sites are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
- Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- 5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read manuals and blueprints/plans.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent eye/hand/foot coordination.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
