Job Description

We are looking for a Wire Cutter to join our Rexel team located in Orlando, FL!

Summary: The Wire Cutter is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling orders for wire and cable cuts utilizing material handling equipment and wire reeling/coiling machinery. The role ensures wire and cable are stored, staged, and cut in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. The position may also require filling in for other warehouse roles.

• Perform daily machine checks and operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
• Retrieve and cut wire efficiently and accurately for requested customer shipments, examining wire for conformance to specifications and removing defective pieces.
• Fill all orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring outbound shipments are correct and free of damage.
• Place a reel of specified wire onto the payout spindle of the machine, thread the wire through feed rolls, and adjust machine controls to regulate factors such as wire thickness, pressure, heat, and cutting/stripping length.
• Stack/store merchandise in the appropriate area and stage wire cuts for shipping.
• Maintain a minimum standard in wire cuts in compliance with current company policies in both accuracy and productivity.
• Report any damage to electronic hardware, work machines, or pipe racks immediately to a supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• 1+ years of wire cutting experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse or distribution center experience a plus.
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license if required to make deliveries.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre‑employment and annual review of Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non‑expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at‑fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• High School or GED preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of Radio Frequency scanning devices preferred.
• Must be willing to be trained on all following material handling equipment: forklift, stand‑up reach truck, high‑reach narrow‑aisle, stand‑up rider pallet jack that conform to OSHA safety training requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co‑workers and customers.
• Ability to handle basic issues and problems.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately complete job tasks.
• Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Basic computer knowledge.
