Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for the troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of production machinery and equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations. This includes executing assigned work orders, installing or rearranging equipment, and assisting with overall facility upkeep.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair systems containing hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry.
Installation & Upgrades: Assist in the installation, rearrangement, and upgrading of facility machinery and equipment.
Facility Maintenance: Perform overall facility repairs under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, including light carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
Fabrication & History: Manufacture necessary components and accessories to support production, and maintain equipment/facility maintenance histories.
Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to all safety rules, instructions, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, Fire Dept., etc.).
QualificationsEducation: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Experience: 3–5 years of Maintenance Mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of repairing production and support equipment.
Technical
Skills:
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and detailed instructions; proficiency in Gas Torch cutting and Arc Welding.
Aptitude: Strong problem-solving and analysis skills; ability to work under minimal supervision and technical direction.
Physical & Communication: Ability to lift 50–75 lbs without assistance; must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
