About this positionWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical field support and service to our customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, conducting on‑site installations and repairs, as well as ongoing training for customer personnel. The employer offers an advancement plan and subsidizes 82.5% of the cost of medical benefits.
New hires receive 15 days of PTO to start on January 1, prorated prior to that date, with PTO increases with years of service. Employees are paid for ten company holidays.
- Coordinate with contractors during installation of fire alarm systems sold by our company.
- Perform system commissioning on fire alarm systems, including loading software programs and implementing modifications as necessary.
- Conduct testing and inspection of fire alarm systems under maintenance agreements.
- Troubleshoot and repair network hardware and software issues.
- Identify code and non‑conformance issues.
- Make recommendations regarding both systems installations and service‑contract facilities.
- Generate detailed daily reports, using company software, on activities completed, deferred, and those requiring further action or material.
- Support emergency on‑call assignments based on a rotational schedule.
- Support 2nd and 3rd shift work.

RequirementsQualified candidates should possess the following:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the installation and maintenance of fire safety products.
- Knowledge of fire alarm system programming.
- Certification as a Florida fire alarm system agent (FASA).
- Knowledge of Siemens fire alarm equipment.
- Support 2nd and 3rd shift work.
- NICET Level I certification.
- Associate degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent experience in low‑voltage electronic systems installation and maintenance.
- Legally authorized to live, work, and be a citizen of the United States.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings and prints. - Proficiency in PC applications in a client/server environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to work on a lift up to 40 feet.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Valid state driver’s license and good driving record.
