Senior Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, power tools, digital tools, and equipment.

• Maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets to support store operations.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete all safety and equipment training required for safe operation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work at heights as required.

• At least 10 years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program.
• Excellent driving record.
• Experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.

• Hourly wage range: $26.00 – $51.00, plus potential premiums based on schedule, facility, and specific work performed.
• Eligible for performance‑based bonus incentives.
