Commercial Chiller Technician
Pay: $65-$75 HR/DOE |
Location:
Tampa, FL | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits
Relocation Assistance available for qualifying candidates | Company Car Provided | $300 Sign-on bonus
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and hydronic systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues
- Inspect and clean evaporator and condenser tubes
- Monitor system temperatures, pressures, oil levels, and water flow
- Diagnose and repair compressors, valves, motors, and sensors
- Recover and recharge refrigerants per EPA guidelines
- Document service reports and maintain equipment logs
- Support startup and commissioning on new chiller installations
- Work with building automation systems (BAS) for adjustments and monitoring
- Respond to emergency cooling calls as needed
- 3+ years of commercial chiller experience (centrifugal, screw, scroll preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Trane, Carrier, York, or Daikin systems
- EPA 608 Certification (Required)
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and system blueprints
- Proficient with gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, and diagnostic software
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in mechanical rooms and rooftops
- Complete tasks as assigned by the site supervisor
- Perform all tasks in a timely manner under minimal supervision
- Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Complete all assignments requiring physical activity for a full shift
- Work all hours assigned.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Must pass drug screen and all required background checks.
