Metalwork Field Installer / Welder
Pay Rate: $19 - $27 per hour
These jobs vary between 1st (Shop) and 3rd (Field Install) Shift Work.
Randall is a premier subcontractor providing integrated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural metals, and offsite construction solutions across Florida and the Southeast.
Responsibilities- Work independently and lead a team
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and sketches
- Layout and cross-check shop set ups
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures using welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools
- Oversee the installation of fine finish elements
- Set up, operate and maintain field welding equipment (TIG, MIG and Flux Core)
- Value and exhibit safe working methods
- Communicate efficiently and effectively
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade
You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch and lift as required by the job, respond quickly to sounds, move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, see and respond to dangerous situations, safely climb ladders while carrying tools/items, work in extreme weather, and properly wear personal protective gear.
