Day to Day as a Crane OperatorAs a new Crane Operator at Florida Atlantic Ironworks, you can expect an exciting and dynamic work environment that will keep you engaged and energized. You'll start each day by conducting thorough equipment inspections, ensuring that everything is in optimal working condition. With a Monday‑Friday schedule, with some weekends. Throughout the day, you'll be responsible for operating and maneuvering the crane with precision and safety in mind.
You'll lift and move heavy loads, carefully following instructions from supervisors and communicating effectively with the team on the ground. Your attention to detail and problem‑solving skills will be put to the test as you handle different materials and navigate various construction sites. Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities for growth. You'll collaborate with a team of professionals who share your passion for excellence and safety.
- 5 years experience or more
- Must have CDL
- Must have NCCO certification for small and large Hydro’s swing cab
- TLL certification is required
- LAT and TSS is a plus
- Must be fluent in English
- Proficiency in operating necessary software and tools, including crane control systems and CAD software
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination and keen eye for detail
- Physical stamina and strength to work with heavy loads and long hours on the crane
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with the team on the ground and following instructions from supervisors
