This role covers Port St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River. May require traveling to other counties.
What you will doReceive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact the customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. These include but are not limited to wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre‑action, deluge, and fire pumps.
How you will do it- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
- Must have the ability to work alone.
- 3–5 years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler service industry performing service and repair to sprinkler and suppression systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Overnight travel may be required.
- Must maintain truck inventory to ensure a timely response to customer needs.
- Must adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lb.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 60 ft., working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Must be able to follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
- NICET Level II certification is a plus.
- Backflow certification is a plus.
This position includes a competitive benefits package. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26–35. This range is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and market data. Exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
