We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our hotel’s Engineering team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and experience working in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all hotel HVAC systems, including guestroom units, public area systems, back‑of‑house equipment, and refrigeration units
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, and related mechanical systems
- Monitor and adjust building automation systems to maintain optimal performance and comfort levels
- Ensure all HVAC and mechanical equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with brand and regulatory standards
- Respond promptly to guest-impacting HVAC issues and work collaboratively with the Front Office and Operations teams
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Assist with energy‑efficiency initiatives and help identify opportunities to reduce operational costs
- Support general engineering tasks and emergency response procedures when needed
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms and work areas
- EPA certification required
- 2–3 years of HVAC experience
, preferably in a hotel or large commercial facility - Strong knowledge of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, refrigeration, and building mechanical systems
- Trade school certification or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions
