CMI is seeking reliable and skilled HVAC Journeyman/Mechanic to deliver efficient and dependable solutions in this rapidly evolving sector. Key Responsibilities
  • Installation:
    Install new HVAC units, ductwork, piping, and components (furnaces, condensers, fans) following blueprints.
  • Maintenance:
    Perform routine preventative maintenance (lubricating motors, cleaning coils, replacing filters) to ensure system efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair:
    Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues; repair or replace faulty components.
  • Control Systems:
    Install and calibrate thermostats, automation controls, and safety devices.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Adhere to all safety protocols (OSHA), ensure code compliance, and handle hazardous materials properly.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of work orders, service reports, and materials used.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Completed a 3–5 year apprenticeship program.
  • Certification:
    Valid Journeyman HVAC license.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electricity, refrigeration piping (brazing), and wiring diagrams.
  • Physical Ability:
    Ability to lift heavy equipment, work on roofs, and operate in confined spaces.
Required Skills
  • Independence:
    Ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • Problem‑Solving:
    Strong diagnostic skills for complex system malfunctions.
  • Communication:
    Have own tools.
