Pest Control Technician

PAY RANGE $17 TO $20 AN HOUR

The Orkin Pro provides the highest level of protection and service to customers on a designated service route. Responsibilities include training, daily route operations, scheduling, issue diagnosis and treatment planning. The role requires understanding customer problems and resolving them.

• Complete award‑winning training to learn the skills and knowledge required to serve customers.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
• Follow a route schedule and arrive safely and on time at each customer location.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and keep the vehicle and equipment clean.
• Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
• Use empathy to listen to customers and recommend the most efficient and innovative solutions.
• Meet customers in their businesses or homes to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services.
• Inspect interior and exterior of customer property.
• Communicate with customers to explain actions taken and discuss services.
• Complete required service‑related documentation on a handheld device.

Minimum Requirements:

• No experience required – we’ll train you.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route‑based assignments and interact with customers in businesses and/or homes.

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and be able to safely perform the duties with or without accommodations.

• Safely use a ladder within manufacturer weight capacity.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc. including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Wear PPE, sometimes requiring an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
• Be willing to work in different weather conditions.
