Job Overview
Transdev in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced A-Level Diesel Mechanic to reinforce our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets. Shift schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday.
- Competitive compensation: minimum $23.00 – maximum $30.00
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating)

- Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
- Complete preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- CDL preferred.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s Tool Set.
- Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions—100% of the job is performed outside, often alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
